So far, I've created an initial rug for the front door (post coming on that soon), picked up most of the garbage and leaves that end up in my yard from the street, and started weeding the garden. That leaves a lot left to do...
Here's my list as of now, I'm posting this mainly to hold myself accountable for getting everything completed in a reasonable time frame. If come September I have yet to build the outdoor table I'm planning on creating then I will feel horrible admitting that on here. So hopefully, this public announcement of my to dos will keep me in check!
- Stain stairs that go from backyard to parking space.
- Use old door to create outdoor table.
- Creatively hang flowers on fence (I'm leaving this one vague...)
- Fancy up the front deck. Create ladder plant holder? Add chairs?
- Have house painted
- Lay stone area in backyard for BBQ and eating area.
As for the pallet flower holder, I've seen a few really creative ways of hanging flowers on pallets throughout blogland and I'm really excited to give it a try. I have a long fence on one side of the yard and this would be a great way to add some color and character to it. I've been looking for ideas on Pinterest, what do you think?
And I can't believe I didn't post anything on Sunday for Mother's Day!! Especially since I'm sure that my dear mother is the only person who reads my blog. Happy Mother's Day Mom! Thank you for each lesson, each sacrifice and all the love that you have given me.
I made the cutest herb pots for my mom, I'll post the how-to soon.
Have a great day! :)
